Lake Serene Hike
- Time Table:
- Car to Lake: +2000 feet
- Lake to car: -2000 feet
- Round trip: 1 h 52 min ~8 miles
This was my first hike to Lake Serene. I have heard about it plenty but have never been able to check it out. So when Suandra suggested we hike up there on our day off I got pretty excited. It's a pretty steep hike so I was expecting a nice workout and packed a little extra weight for training.

The lush rainforest was just amazing in this area. It is always a surprise to find such greenery so close to the city.

After reaching Bridal Veil Falls the hike gets really steep and muddy. Bring good boots for this trail unless there has been plenty of time for the mud to dry out.

Once again I was amazed at the beauty of the cascades. Only an hour drive from Seattle and you can be on such a beautiful trail to an amazing place.
We lounged around the lake for about an hour before we made the hike back down. The weather was great by the lake but Mount Index was covered in mist and couds the whole time we were there.
