The Hike
Travis and I wanted to go play on Lane Peak in the Tatoosh range of Mt. Rainier National Park but had some weather issues. We left Seattle thinking that weather wouldn't really be a problem as the route that we wanted to climb is pretty easy. By the time we made it to the mountain our thoughts on the route changed. We couldn't even see Lane Peak. We drove up to Paradise and decided to start from there to make our hike a bit more scenic (and much longer).

By the time we made back down the road we couldn't even see the base of the peak. We decided that with our limited daylight and the fact that they close the road at night we would forget about climbing and just hike down to the lake.
